As you all know, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be releasing new music over the next nine months (18 songs to be exact). The songs come from B-sides and songs that just didn’t make the cut for their last album; I’m With You, and will be released both digitally and on vinyl.
Guitarist Josh Kingoffer commented about the single “(They) seem to have a lot more of an agenda than others. Some songs play well with others and some songs need more attention and a little extra care. Here are some songs that seemed to want to pair up and take a later train.”
Consequenceofsound.net is reporting that the first single “Strange Man” b/w “Long Progression,” will be released on August 14th. The next pair of songs “Magpies” b/w “Victorian Machinery,” will come out on September 11th and “Never Is A Long Time” b/w “Love Of Your Life,” will be released on October 2nd.
The other singles; which we don’t have a title for yet, will be released on November 6th, December 4th, and December 18th. One final single will be released in 2013.
